Previously Mr. McNamara served 5 years as Troop 780's Scoutmaster

Parents meeting to cover troop information and plans moving forward.

This is to remind you that Monday night is our Kick Off night for our new scout year. We are excited about being at this point. We strongly believe we have a lot of good things ahead in this upcoming year.

Parents, it is vitally important that you are all in attendance for this meeting. We want to make sure that we start out on the same page and that we stay in contact in a face to face forum periodically. This is YOUR unit, and we want to ensure that your scout is getting the most out of the program as possible.

We will have information on upcoming events, fund raisers, etc.. Even if your scout is a "short timer" (working on his Eagle) - you should really be in attendance.

We look forward to working with each of you as we move forward in this scouting year!

You will need a user name and password to access it. Scouters, Committee Members and Leaders already have received this information.

About 35 close friends, scouts and scouters attended to celebrate this young man's hard work and dedication.

This weekend March 27, 2010 at the Howard House in Dunn, NC, BSA Troop 780 celebrated it's 9th Eagle Scout... Sean M.

About 40 close friends, scouts and scouters attended to celebrate this young man's hard work and dedication.

Sean made Eagle Scout on May 19, 2009

Sean currently has 53 merit badges and was also awarded a bronze, gold and silver palm.

Congratulations Sharon Honeycutt

Sharon Honeycutt was awarded "Cubmaster of the Year" for Pack 780 at last nights District Recognition Dinner. Sharon was the only "780" member to receive an award and we're all really proud of her. Please say thank you for all the hard work she puts into the troop and pack. Sharon is also a committee member and assistant Scoutmaster for troop 780 and we are privileged to have her.

The kids are the ultimate benefactors of all the hard work the Adults put into scouting.

Backpacker to Raven Rock State Park

Troop 780 Goes Shooting....Again

Troop 780 will be out in the woods shooting Skeet and .22's. We going to have a great time, our NRA certified Range officer will be keeping us in line. And probably showing off her new pink .22

In addition, we will be hitting the fishing and survival aspect pretty hard.

34 fish were caught on the last fishing outing, 300 clay pigeons met their fate.

It should allow almost anyone to teach or learn the majority of the Computer Merit Badge Requirements.

The PLC of Troop 780 has decided to cancel Monday nights meeting and let everyone enjoy the Labor day Holiday.

The SPL started off the troop mobilization plan tonight, if anyone was skipped, please contact him so that the process can be tuned.

The Summer Merit Badge Competition is Over!

While almost everyone completed 6-9 merit badges over the last 2 months we had one scout that went above and beyond!

Kristopher C. wins the contest with 12 completed Merit Badges in two short months!

Kris earned a limited edition Boy Scout Knife for his accomplishments.

We are all very proud of his achievement and would like to encourage everyone to keep going!

We passed 4,000,000 hits today !!!
