This knot is a wrongly tied Sheetbend, a very easy mistake to make. The ends of the ropes should both come off the same side of the knot, and NOT off opposite sides as shown here.
- The knot strength is severely reduced, and this knot should be avoided.
- Tip. Avoid this knot under all circumstances.
- Tip. Always use a Sheetbend.
