- Rag cloth (to wipe shoes before getting on a route)

- 50m or longer length of rope (single, two twins or two half)
- Rock boots
- Chalk bag
- Minimum of ten quick draws
- HMS karabiner
- Belay device (ATC or Grigri etc)
- Helmet

Trad Climbing
- Rack of nut's, cam's, hex's (number may vary depending on route)
- Harness
- Rock boots
- Chalk bag
- 50m or longer length of rope (twin or half preferred)
- Slings
- HMS karabiner
- Belay device
- Spare karabiners to use on extenders
- Helmet
